After replacing the factory Honda Fury & VTX exhaust system with custom lower back pressure pipes, many people have experienced an increase in the rapid popping and gurgling noises when throttling back and gearing down. The custom VTX exhaust gives you less back pressure, exhaust vapors build up in the system, and it is the ignition of these vapors that cause the problem. Removing your factory smog pump, and capping off the reed valve area will help minimize these noises and will allow your Fury, VTX 1300 or 1800 bike with it's custom exhaust to sound its best. |
